With Nanavati-Mehta commission admitting the phone call CDs submitted by IPS officer Rahul Sharma as evidence, the chief minister’s office could be in a spot.
While Jan Sangharsh Manch (JSM) lawyer Mukul Sinha indicated that Chief Minister Narendra Modi may have been using the phones of his office staff and bureaucrats, he on Wednesday submitted list of calls between the CMO and VHP leader Jaideep Patel, now an accused in Naroda Gam case. Patel also remained connected with senior police officers who face a charge of showing negligence in quelling riots in 2002.
JSM produced call details of Patel’s cell phone, which shows that he called up city police commissioner on the evening of February 28, 2002, when violence in Naroda area was over.
The data reveals that Patel had on eight occasions talked to officers at CMO – Tanmay Mehta, OSD to CM, AP Patel, Sanjay Bhavsar and others. Similarly, he talked to them the next day when rioting was taking place in Naroda. Patel also called up police officers, including the commissioner, joint commissioner of police M K Tandon, deputy commissioner of police P B Gondhia and Naroda police inspector K K Maysorewala, nearly 27 times during four days of violence – between February 28 and March 3, 2002.

Gujarat Government attitude speaks for itself. First closing the eyes in broad day light and saying there is no sun. SC opened the eyes and made them see the sun. CD is the most powerful and authentic piece of evidence. The cross examination of CM be begun with the first question regarding oath before assuming the post in the name of God, whether he holds allegiance to the constitution of India or personal ideology like Hindutva ? Whether he understands the difference between the Governement and State? Whether Dr. Jaydeep Patel holds any constitutional post ? Then why… Rest Dr. Mukul Sinha is smart enough to figure out himself as the most eminent Human Rights Lawyer of India…May God help you to bring out the truth, nothing but the whole truth.
