Why is this uncontrollable price rise? The UPA says it’s because of the rise of the crude oil price. NDA says the UPA has no solutions for it. Could NDA during its rule prevent the price of crude? Both UPA and NDA say that they cannot control crude oil price because India doesn’t have crudle oil.

They say that OPEN countries (led by Saudi Arabia, Iran and the gulf countries) raise the price of the crude as they wish since they produce 25% of the fuel in the world. America, Russia and Venezuela and a few more produce the rest.

So the Indian common man has to face the back-breaking price rise because some other countries have the oil to dictate. Neither NDA nor UPA has any solution for it. Instead of learning from this black mailing tactics of these oil-producing countries, the UPA government wants to place India into another disaster.

They want to do a nuclear deal with Amercia for making Uranium-fed nuclear reactors without having any Uranium at all. If the Amercians stop the supply of the Uranium, India will be in a situation much worse than the present crisis created by the crudeoil price rise. It’s like falling from frying pan to the fire.

The price rise therefore is due to our own wrong policies of nation building. We have enough coal to be completely self-sufficient in electricity generation and we have enough Thorium to run Thorium-fed nuclear reactors. All it requires is the political will to be self-reliant.

• To fight Inflation, reject the American nuclear option
• Self-reliance is the only way to fight inflation
• Nation should find its own source of energy instead of depending on crude oil or American Uranium
